A little rant/disclaimer about me and my religion.
First off, I know I’m not the nicest person to religion(s). I bash on Christianity quite often, mainly to point notice at people’s warped display of it, and the fact that people use it as a hate-shield. People think that because their book of choice says so, it must be right. However, I do not bash on someone’s choice in faith or choice to adhere to set of rules. That’s personal. (Unless that set of rules brings upon the previous comment, of hate and whatnot. Then I go to town with the criticizing.) Here is a little rant I posted on Facebook, and kinda formed into a little thesis:
The next person who tells me that my beliefs are a fad, my religion is a joke, or that my interest is purely a hobby, I may honestly punch you square in the face. My Karma be damned, I will not take shit from people who preach THEIR religion (and cry foul when people don’t wanna hear it). [To clarify, yes I bash Christianity as a generality, but mainly for its hypocrisy and hate that some people tend to display.]
This is who I am. It is who I’ve been since I was of the age that I could think for myself and make my own decisions. Everything in between has led me to this point. If you think it is a joke, a fad, or that I’m just playing a silly game, please voice your opinion. Now’s the time. I will accept it, and we will part ways.

No, I do not worship the devil. In fact, I do not acknowledge the existence of such. I do not sacrifice small children or animals- quite the opposite. My religion promotes the notion that humans and animals are part of nature and sacred to their own rights.
I do not wave my magic wand and cast Harry Potter spells.
I do not fly a broom (though by some of your attitudes, one would think YOU do), and I do not take part in wild/crazy/promiscuous/etc ., orgies. Nor do I dance around naked. *That’s more of a sect thing. Not all witches do that, though I’m sure there’s a division/branch/sect/group that do. Totally fine.*
If you see my pentacle, please, FEEL FREE to ask questions. I’ve nothing to hide and I LOVE answering questions. But don’t call me a devil worshiper, or be ignorant. I don’t do that when you wear your gaudy blingin’ cross.
If you see me taking notes down, writing different things relating to my practices, FEEL FREE to ask questions. Don’t criticize me for being different. I don’t laugh at you when you carry around your bible.
And finally- PLEASE don’t talk about shit you don’t know anything about. It is okay to NOT KNOW things (as I find out, pridefully, every day). witchcraft is VERY loosely represented in movies (i.e., the Craft) and TV shows (i.e., Charmed), and is absolutely nothing like it is in most novels (i.e., Harry Potter). I have no problem talking all day about my beliefs and their roots/history, but I hate having to actually define the truth because people believe what they see in pop culture.
On that note, I’m a pretty transparent person. I’ve nothing to hide. You are welcome to your criticisms as I am welcome to mine, just keep it to yourself. (Though, if I’m wrong about something, feel free to correct me.)
